The Planet in the Grip of the Pandemic and the Virus of Writing

Literature has always been one of the most reliable witnesses of an era; in this context, and at a time when the pandemic is still in progress and brings about changes not only in our  daily lives but also in our social relationships, contemporary literature attempts to record, capture, and express the concerns, the fears, the expectations and the hopes of the modern way of living, while at the same time strives to give a new meaning to the human presence on the planet.

The 17th TBF browses through new books about the past, the present and the future of the epidemics. It also opens the discussion on how people can adapt to these new conditions and on the impact of the epidemics on the number of books and the genres of literature that are currently being written.
