THE RUSSIAN PARTICIPATION IN THE 17TH THESSALONIKI BOOK FAIR

On the occasion of the “Greek-Russian Year of Language and Literature,” Russia participates in the 17th Thessaloniki Book Fair having organized a number of events that present contemporary aspects of the Russian literature.

The “Greek-Russian Year of Language and Literature 2019-2020” was officially inaugurated in May 2019 at the 16th TBF by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. It is being implemented within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two countries in the fields of Literature and Translation, which is in effect for five years (2017-2022) and has already resulted in the publication of ten contemporary Greek books in Russia in the past year.
