HELLENIC FOUNDATION FOR CULTURE
In the long-established festival “Literature and Memory” that shines the spotlight on the work of important, albeit sometimes under-studied, Greek authors on the occasion of death or birth anniversaries, we will be discussing this year at the event “Blast Furnaces,” which has been inspired by Andreas Empirkos’ poetry, the works of Nanos Valaoritis (1921-2019), Giorgos Cheimonas (1938-2000), Hector Kaknavatos (1920-2010), Andreas Pagoulatos (1946-2010) and Thanasis Tzoulis (1932-2010). In the present discussion, we will be discussing surrealism on the works of Nanos Valaoritis and Giorgos Cheimonas.
